
Each year an increasing number of children are falling into the obese category and if no significant change is made, approximately 80% of these children will remain overweight as adults. An important way to assist your child in weight management and healthy eating habits is to encourage him/her to participate in regular physical activity.
Action Kids Fitness Center has created is the newest concept in children’s fitness in which children are motivated to exercise in a fun and caring atmosphere with professional instructors. Whether they enjoy ‘working out’, traditional and Mixed Martial Arts, kickboxing, Hip-Hop dance class or rock wall climbing, Action Kids Fitness Center offers something fun and exciting for everyone. We even offer cardio kickboxing and Martial Arts classes for ADULTS.
Our ‘whole-body’ philosophy continues with educating parents and children on healthy eating habits. Every month our Registered Dietician comes in to teach children about healthy eating habits in our Nutrition for Action workshops.
These workshops cover various subjects that children come across everyday such as fast food, sports drinks and understanding food labels. Parents are welcome to stay and ask questions.
